Locum Cardiac Anesthesiologist – South Florida
Position Overview
Seeking a Board-Certified Cardiac Anesthesiologist for an ongoing locum opportunity at a major Florida healthcare system. Providers will support cardiac and general anesthesiology services across two affiliated facilities.
Requirements
- Board Certified (Required)
- Active Florida Medical License (Required)
- ACLS, BLS, and DEA (Required)
- Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days
- Minimum commitment: 20 shifts per month
Case Mix
- General Surgery, OB/GYN, Ortho, Uro, GI, Cath Lab, CVL, Endo, ENT, Spine
Cardiac Cases Include CABG, Valve Procedures, TAVR, MitraClip, LAA Ligation, EP Cases
Primary Case Volume
- Orthopedics
- General Surgery
- GYN/OB
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Shift options: 7a–3p, 7a–5p, or 7a–7p
- Call Required
- Weekend Coverage Required
Cardiac Coverage Model
- Preferred schedule: 2 weeks on / 1 week off
- Two cardiac anesthesiologists onsite Monday–Friday
- Shared cardiac call responsibilities with low callback volume
- Approximately 70% personal case performance and 30% supervision
