High-demand Cardiac Anesthesiology Locum opportunity in Galloway, New Jersey within a busy Level II Trauma hospital setting. This role offers comprehensive exposure to open heart surgery, thoracic cases, complex vascular procedures, and advanced perioperative cardiac management.
The facility is seeking an experienced anesthesiologist to provide coverage while recruiting a permanent provider. Physicians will work varied 8- or 12-hour shifts with required night and weekend call, delivering care across high-acuity surgical services in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Ideal for a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist with strong cardiac expertise and proficiency in advanced invasive monitoring.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage thoracic (non-open heart) and complex vascular cases
• Perform IV regional, plexus, spinal, and regional anesthesia
• Conduct ventilation management and local infiltration techniques
• Insert and manage TEE, PA catheters, arterial lines, and central lines
• Supervise CRNAs in a team-based anesthesia model
• Provide weekday, night, and weekend call coverage
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
Qualifications
• Active New Jersey Medical License (required)
• ACLS & BLS Certifications (AHA)
• Proven expertise in Open Heart, Thoracic, and Complex Vascular anesthesia
• Proficiency with TEE and invasive line placement
• Experience supervising CRNAs
• Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia (preferred)
• Recent NPDB Self-Query
