Job description 187-bed Level I Trauma and academic center in Nebraska, is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist for ongoing locum coverage. This position involves both cardiac and general OR cases for adult and geriatric patients. TEE certification is required, and fellowship training in cardiac anesthesiology is highly preferred.

Job Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia care for adult and geriatric surgical patients in both cardiac and general OR settings

Utilize TEE for cardiac case management

Participate in both clinic and on-call coverage

Work across various procedural areas including endoscopy, EP Lab, Neuro IR, MRI, and Bronch

Ensure safe and effective anesthesia delivery in a high-acuity, academic hospital setting

Maintain compliance with facility protocols and documentation standards

Qualifications

Board Certified in Anesthesiology – Required

Active Nebraska medical license – Highly preferred (IMLC must be in hand at time of submission if applicable)

TEE Certification – Required

Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship – Highly preferred

Clean malpractice and background – Highly preferred

Local candidates (no flights) – Highly preferred

COVID vaccination – Required

Must provide availability and CHI/Dignity history at time of name clear submission

Working Hours

Ongoing locum coverage

Involves both clinic hours and call responsibilities

Specific shift times not listed; providers should be flexible with academic hospital coverage expectations
