A respected, mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is seeking an accomplished Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to provide executive and clinical leadership across a growing Southern California healthcare organization.

This is an opportunity for an experienced physician executive to have a direct voice in organizational strategy while leading clinical excellence across medical, dental, behavioral health, and optometry services.

Minimum 10 Years of Progressive Physician Leadership Experience Required

This position is designed for an established physician executive ready to lead at the organizational level—not simply manage a clinical department.

As CMO, you will report directly to the CEO and work closely with executive leadership and the Board of Directors to shape the organization's clinical direction.

You will:

✔ Provide Executive Leadership Across Clinical Operations
✔ Lead Medical Directors & Multidisciplinary Clinical Teams
✔ Drive Quality Improvement & Patient Safety
✔ Establish Clinical Policies, Protocols & Standards of Care
✔ Oversee Provider Recruitment & Credentialing
✔ Lead Peer Review & Continuing Medical Education
✔ Advance Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Initiatives
✔ Support Utilization Management & Clinical Performance
✔ Partner With Leadership on Strategic Growth
✔ Build a Culture of Accountability, Collaboration & Excellence

🎯 WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

✔ MD or DO
✔ 10+ Years Progressive Physician Leadership Experience
✔ Experience Leading Large, Multidisciplinary Clinical Teams
✔ Strong Quality Improvement Background
✔ Utilization Management Experience
✔ Physician Practice Management Experience
✔ Exceptional Communication & Executive Leadership Skills

Board Certification and advanced healthcare management training preferred.
