A major focus of this opportunity will be helping develop a Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Bridge Program in partnership with our Emergency Department, with the goal of creating stronger transitions to outpatient treatment and reducing substance use disorder readmissions.

Full-time outpatient Addiction Medicine practice with inpatient consultation
Treat a diverse patient population with alcohol, opioid, stimulant, and polysubstance use disorders
Initiate and manage evidence-based medication treatment for substance use disorders

Create meaningful transitions from the ED and inpatient setting to ongoing outpatient treatment
Collaborate closely with Emergency Medicine, Behavioral Health, Medicine, Trauma, Surgery, Social Work, and Care Management
Participate in clinical quality improvement and program development
Educate residents, physicians, and multidisciplinary clinical teams
Practice in a setting where Addiction Medicine can have an immediate and measurable impact

New Jersey medical license or eligibility for licensure
