Shopboy is a tailor shop for alterations and repairs that brings a refined option to the tailoring
industry, one focused on craftsmanship, customer service, a knowledge of fashion and styles. The
ideal candidate must have an extremely accurate attention to detail, experience in a fast-paced yet
friendly environment, and a strong interest in and knowledge of fashion. The candidate should be
comfortable multitasking and managing people and should be a fast learner - he or she must be
quick to learn the construction of garments and what are realistic alterations. The ideal candidate
will have previous experience in a fashion and/or a fashion retail environment. We are looking for
exceptional talent who is excited about the opportunity to grow with our company. Our new
employee will have a lot of responsibility and will get a chance to be a big part of a quickly growing
company.
Responsibilities:
● Communicate with clients about fit and style
● Fit garments for clients in the shop
● Manage tailor’s daily workflow in shop to ensure jobs are done accurately and on time
● Communicate jobs with tailors to ensure job accuracy
● Quality control
● Assist the tailors with buttons, seam repairs, etc. when needed
● Basic computer and data entry
● Email clients to schedule appointments, fittings and pick-ups and to maintain relationships
● Maintain business standards for accuracy, productivity and reliability

● Part-time, in-person
● Location: Tribeca
● Compensation; $22-$25 per hour
● Must be available to work weekends
