General Internal Medicine/Med-Peds Physician

The Division of General Internal Medicine has two immediate openings for full-time Clinical Instructors, Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Clinical Medicine (NTT) at a busy academic General Internal Medicine & Pediatrics Practice. It is currently comprised of thirteen faculty members, six of which practice Internal Medicine & Pediatrics. Our opportunity is ideal for candidates interested in both med/peds or only general IM.

Details:

  • Job Duties: 100% clinical, unless interested in teaching opportunities
  • Home call – 5 weeks per year
    • Ability to travel while on call
    • Average call volume during call weeks: 2/week
  • Outpatient clinic volume: 8-10 per .5 clinic day
    • The clinical nature of this position creates the opportunity for higher clinical volumes for the inclined candidate.
  • Expected schedule:
    • 8 clinic sessions per week
    • 2 administrative sessions per week
  • Compensation structure: Base + Incentive (paid quarterly)

The practice is an established NCQA Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home, where the practice environment fosters high-quality team-based care and high job satisfaction for faculty and staff. We offer two clinic locations, both of which are located in offsite freestanding facilities, giving them a private practice flare. Enjoy the stimulation of an academic environment with the opportunity to focus on clinic alone, or to teach residents and medical students. Research and quality improvement projects are encouraged.

Qualifications

  • MD/DO
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited internal medicine or internal medicine/pediatrics residency program.
  • Board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine or BE/BC in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics.
  • For the purposes of this application, board-certified/board-eligible are considered experienced.
