Gould Medical Group, in partnership with Sutter Health, is looking for a board-certified Family Medicine Core Faculty physician in Modesto, CA.

Sutter Health-affiliated Gould Medical Group is a growing, approximately 400 provider multi-specialty group located about two hours east of San Francisco, California. Our communities offer quick access to the bay area as well as other hot spots such as Napa Valley, Yosemite, and Lake Tahoe.

Position Details:

  • Starting base salary: $285,000
  • Two-year salary guarantee
  • Compensation will be a mix of salary and wRVU production after salary guarantee
  • Sign-on and loan options
  • Position requirement: serve as core faculty for the FM residency program that is currently going through accreditation for Internal Medicine
  • Mix of outpatient Family Medicine and resident teaching
  • Teaching is a mix of inpatient and outpatient in a variety of settings, including nursery, wards, and residency clinic (depending on interest)
  • Addiction medicine fellowship a plus
  • Stable and growing group
  • EHR: Epic

Qualifications of the Core Faculty Member:

  • Must have and maintain current certification by the American Board of Family Medicine
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in the education of residents
  • Devote sufficient time to the Residency Program to fulfill their supervisory and teaching responsibilities
  • Pursues faculty development at least annually to enhance their skills in the areas of education, quality improvement and patient safety, physician well-being, and patient care based on their practice-based learning and improvement efforts
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the most up-to-date program specific requirements
  • Include current licensure and appropriate medical staff appointment
  • Include ongoing clinical activity
  • Must demonstrate ongoing academic achievements in the specialty, including publications, the development of educational programs, or the conduct of research
  • Be licensed to practice medicine in the state of California
  • Have faculty experience, leadership, organizational, and administrative qualifications
  • Assist the site lead with resident continuity clinic operations
  • Core faculty members must be designated by the Program Director
