A large regional health system in southeastern North Carolina is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join an established Urology practice. This opportunity offers a combination of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, hands-on procedural experience, and close collaboration with Urologists within a comprehensive regional healthcare network.
Position Highlights
* Full-time, permanent Urology APP opportunity
* Open to experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
* Combination of inpatient and outpatient Urology
* Practice under the supervision and collaboration of Urologists
* Evaluate and manage patients with a variety of urologic conditions
* Conduct physical examinations and develop patient workups
* Prepare clinical summaries and treatment plans
* Perform urodynamic studies
* Established specialty practice with access to extensive hospital and outpatient resources
* Collaborative physician and APP environment
* Join a regional healthcare system with 8 hospitals
* More than 1 million patient visits annually

Clinical Responsibilities
* Evaluate patients presenting with urologic conditions
* Obtain histories and perform physical examinations
* Diagnose and manage medical problems within scope of practice
* Develop appropriate patient workups and clinical summaries
* Perform urodynamic testing and other appropriate procedures
* Assist with inpatient Urology management
* Provide outpatient follow-up and continuity of care
* Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and other members of the care team
* Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatments, procedures, and follow-up care

Qualifications
* Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
* Current national NP or PA certification
* Current or eligible North Carolina licensure
* Previous APP experience preferred
* Urology experience strongly preferred
* Comfortable providing both inpatient and outpatient care
* Interest and ability to perform urodynamic studies
* Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient-care skills
