Job description
The Fox Chase–Temple Urologic Institute is seeking a Physician Assistant to join its Urologic Oncology program. This position is dedicated specifically to the care of patients with urologic cancers and will play a central role within our high-volume, multidisciplinary surgical urologic oncology service.

The Fox Chase–Temple Urologic Institute is a nationally recognized, world-renowned program in urology and urologic oncology, housed within Temple Health and the NCI-designated Fox Chase Cancer Center. Our Department of Urology is ranked among the top programs in the United States and serves as a regional and national referral center for complex genitourinary conditions and cancers.
The Institute integrates high-volume clinical care, multidisciplinary oncology collaboration, and a robust research enterprise. Our physicians are leaders in robotic, laparoscopic, and complex open surgery, as well as clinical trials and practice-shaping research. We care for patients across the full spectrum of prostate, kidney, bladder, adrenal, testicular, and upper tract cancers, in addition to advanced urologic conditions.
Our Advanced Practice Providers are core members of the clinical team. Many of our physician assistants build their entire careers within the Institute. We provide structured onboarding, longitudinal mentorship, and meaningful leadership opportunities. APPs are actively involved in clinical decision making, care pathway development, and quality initiatives. Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
• Comprehensive evaluation and management of urologic oncology patients
• Perioperative care coordination for complex cancer cases
• Development and implementation of treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies
• Counseling patients and families on treatment options and survivorship care
• Assisting in procedural and surgical care as appropriate
• Participation in quality improvement and standardization initiatives
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program, required
Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant, preferred; prior oncology or urology experience strongly preferred
Licensure and Certification:
Pennsylvania Medical Physician Assistant License, required;
NCCPA Certification, required
Working Hours
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | No call | No weekends
This is a weekday position with predictable hours and no call or weekend responsibilities.
