Position Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Urology plays an integral role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered urologic care across multiple clinic and hospital settings. This position requires the ability to manage an independent patient panel, collaborate within a multi-provider environment, perform clinical evaluations, assist with surgical care, and support ongoing growth within a strong, well-established practice.

Practice Overview

  • Staffing: 6 Physicians, 3 APPs, managers, receptionists, CMAs, RNs, surgery schedulers, referral coordinators
  • Two office locations: Asheville & Hendersonville
  • Hospital coverage: Pardee, Mission, and AdventHealth
  • Patient Population: Adults 18+, male and female
  • Clinic Volume: ~15 patients/day; 120–150 patient appointments/month

Job Responsibilities

Clinical Care
• Provide independent clinic management with an assigned patient panel.
• Conduct new patient evaluations, follow-ups, post-op visits, and minimal in‑clinic procedures.
• Participate in hospital rounding across three facilities (~ 4 hours/week).
• Support physicians with clinical questions and assist with patient management as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff in a team-based model.
Surgical Care
• Assist with surgical procedures (~ 6–8 days/month; 8 hours/week).
• Participate in pre- and post-operative care and surgical planning.
Call Coverage
• Participate in approximately 10 call days per month, shared between multiple hospitals.
Administrative
• Complete documentation, care coordination, and administrative tasks (~ 4 hours/week).
• Support referral processes, surgery scheduling coordination, and patient education.

Qualifications

Qualifications
• Valid NP or PA license in North Carolina.
• Experience in urology is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and patient‑centric approach.

Working Hours

Schedule Expectations
• 12–14 clinic days per month
• 6–8 surgery days per month
• 40-hour workweek
Approximate weekly distribution:
o 24 hours clinic
o 4 hours hospital rounding
o 8 hours surgery
o 4 hours administrative
