- Provide general medical and critical care for hospitalized adult patients with a wide variety of acute medical conditions.
- Evaluate patients upon admission and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Manage patients in the ICU and continue follow-up when ICU patients transition to the hospital floor.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, laboratory work, and X-rays.
- Diagnose and treat illnesses and diseases in the hospital setting.
- Coordinate care with hospital teams and patients’ primary care providers.
- Communicate with patients and answer questions about diagnoses and treatment plans.
Required:
- Current New York Physician Assistant license.
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Board certification.
- At least 2 years of recent experience.
- Epic experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience caring for acutely ill adult patients in an ICU or hospital setting.
- Experience performing or assisting with line placement procedures.
