Urgent Care APP Opportunity in Sandusky, OH
Position Overview:
Seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a growing urgent care team serving communities along the Lake Erie shoreline. This full-time opportunity offers a collaborative practice environment with a focus on providing high-quality, patient-centered urgent care services.
Practice Details:
Full-time employed position
Urgent care setting
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries
Collaborative physician support
Serve patients across multiple urgent care locations
Regional service area of more than 300,000 residents
Clinical Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and focused physical examinations
Order and interpret laboratory studies, X-rays, ECGs, and other diagnostic testing
Diagnose and manage acute medical conditions
Prescribe medications as appropriate
Perform minor office procedures including:
- Laceration repair
- Wound care
- Lesion and foreign body removal
- Punch and excisional biopsies
- Immunizations
- Phlebotomy
Provide patient education and counseling
Maintain accurate medical documentation
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and medical assistants
Requirements:
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Master's degree from an accredited program
Active Ohio NP or PA license
DEA or eligibility to obtain
Eligible for credentialing
Minimum of two years of experience preferred
Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
