Practice Highlights

• Clinics open 7 days/week, 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
• Providers work 12+ hour shifts, depending on patient flow
• Expected to see patients arriving during clinic operating hours
• Patient population ranges from birth through adulthood
• Typical volume of 25–50+ patients/day, varying by clinic
• Higher volumes expected during cold and flu season
• 100% outpatient urgent care setting
• Higher-acuity cases are stabilized and referred to the appropriate ED/ER or higher level of care
• Epic EMR

Procedures & Clinical Skills

• Simple, intermediate, and complex laceration repair
• Suturing and stapling
• I&D, including packing
• Foreign body removal
• Minor burn and skin lesion management
• Orthopedic injury stabilization
• Splinting and casting
• Joint reduction
• X-ray interpretation
• EKG evaluation
• Point-of-care testing and lab interpretation
• Epistaxis management, including nasal packing and chemical cautery
• Cerumen impaction removal
• Nebulizer treatments and initial emergency stabilization

Compensation & Benefits

• $100–$110/hr

Requirements

• Board Certified
• Active Virginia license
• Active BLS
• Active DEA
• Minimum 1 year of experience in ED/ER, primary care, or urgent care
• Clean background with no malpractice or licensing issues
• Comfortable treating patients from birth through adulthood
• Strong urgent care procedural and diagnostic skills
