Description
Noor Locums is seeking a Physician Assistant with Vascular Surgery experience for an ongoing opportunity in Oregon.
This position provides a combination of inpatient and outpatient Vascular Surgery services, including surgical first assist, inpatient rounding, and clinic procedures. The APP will work alongside a physician/DO and will not be working independently.
The schedule includes 10-hour and 24-hour call shifts, with both weekday and weekend coverage. Clinic hours are 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. When a call shift begins at 7:00 AM, the APP is expected to report onsite for handoff and rounding.
The service manages approximately 15 patients per day across a 36-bed setting, with Vascular and Endovascular patients.
Job Responsibilities
Serve as a surgical first assist in the operating room
Assist with clinic-based procedures
Participate in inpatient rounding
Evaluate and manage Vascular and Endovascular patients
Assist physicians with surgical procedures
Participate in patient handoffs at the beginning of applicable shifts
Support preoperative and postoperative patient care
Respond to vascular surgery needs during assigned call
Provide beeper call coverage as scheduled
Work collaboratively with MD/DO surgical providers
Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR
Qualifications
Vascular Surgery experience
Active Oregon PA license required
BLS required
ACLS required
Epic experience required
Surgical first-assist experience required
Documentation of clinical services within the previous 24 months required
Surgical case log from the previous 24 months required
Documentation of first, second, or third-assist experience required
Documentation of training and competency for surgical first assist required
Must be able to work with a supervising/participating MD or DO
Candidates with an active Oregon license are preferred for the earliest October/November coverage dates
Working Hours
Assignment approval: approximately 6 months
Approximately 6 call shifts per month
10-hour weekday call: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
10-hour overnight beeper call: 5:00 PM–7:00 AM
24-hour weekday call: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
24-hour weekend call available
Clinic hours: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
No block schedule
No independent practice; MD/DO support available
