We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to support a rapidly expanding vascular surgery and vascular medicine service line in the Bronx, NY. This role offers a dynamic blend of outpatient care and procedural support while working closely with vascular surgeons in a collaborative, high-acuity environment serving diverse communities across New York City.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills and experience—or strong interest—in managing complex arterial and venous disease. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a structured vascular program focused on quality outcomes and service line expansion.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform detailed patient histories, physical exams, and vascular assessments
• Evaluate and manage peripheral arterial disease (PAD), venous insufficiency, DVT, carotid artery disease, aneurysms, and chronic wounds
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic studies (vascular ultrasound, ABI/PVR, CTA/MRA, laboratory tests)
• Assist with pre-operative and post-operative management of vascular procedures
• Conduct hospital rounds and manage inpatient consults (if applicable)
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with vascular surgeons
• Prescribe medications and adjust therapies per established clinical protocols
• Educate patients on vascular disease processes, procedures, and aftercare
• Document encounters accurately within the EMR system
• Coordinate care with referring providers, imaging, wound care teams, and ancillary services
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and vascular program growth efforts

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Active New York State PA license
• NCCPA certification
• Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
