We are seeking an enthusiastic Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner who has great clinical and interpersonal skills to join our team in beautiful Allentown, PA. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for the care and management of cardiothoracic surgical patients both in the ICU and OR settings. The ideal candidate will have previous cardiothoracic surgery experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work in conjunction with the attending cardiothoracic surgeon, and non-surgical providers, for medical care of cardiothoracic surgical patients.
• Able to harvest vein conduits with endoscopic technique
• Able to assist in a variety of cardiothoracic surgical operations
• Perform initial evaluation, history, and physical examination of all assigned patients.
• Placement of invasive monitoring lines including central venous catheters, dialysis lines, chest tubes, and arterial access.
• Participate in ongoing education, quality, and research projects.
• Contribute to service related databases as indicated.
• Participate in education of patients and families during their inpatient course.

Job Qualifications:

• Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified
• A current license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania
