Join a leading Level II Trauma Center in Mason City, Iowa, as a Locum Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery. This ongoing locum opportunity offers highly competitive compensation starting at $264/hour, with premium rates for call and overtime ($370/hour OT, $1,232 for 24-hour call, $553/night call). We are seeking a highly skilled and Board Certified Physician Assistant to provide critical Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage. You will be an integral part of a dedicated surgical team at a Level II Trauma Center, managing both clinic operations and critical on-call surgical needs. Job Responsibilities
• Manage weeknight call and 24-hour weekend on-call coverage (1:2 call ratio).
• Perform specialized procedures including Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH).
• Participate in CABG cases and general cardiothoracic surgical care.
Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery experience.
• Hands-on experience with Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH).
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Clean malpractice and background history.
Working Hours
• Saturday – Sunday: 24-hour on-call coverage.
• Call Ratio: 1:2.
