Job description
We are currently seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a background in Cardiothoracic Surgery to assist an established hospital-based team in Atlantic City, NJ. This is an urgent need due to upcoming staffing changes.
Position Overview:

Location: Atlantic City, NJ

Practice Setting: Inpatient / Hospital-Based

EMR: Cerner

Trauma Level: Not designated trauma
Schedule Details:
-
Weekdays (Monday–Friday): 8–10 hour in-house shifts
-
Night Call: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
-
Weekend Call: Friday 6:00 PM – Monday 6:00 AM
-
Includes rounding from 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM Saturday & Sunday

Clinical Duties:
-
Daily rounding (ICU & floor): 5–12 patients/day
-
Operative volume: ~2 patients/day
-
Includes consults, coordination of care, and first assist
Required Procedures:
-
Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH)
-
Chest tube insertions
-
Retrieval of vascular tissues for bypass conduit
-
First assist in cardiac surgeries
Responsibilities:
-
Surgical assisting in CT surgery cases
-
Pre- and post-operative care
-
Diagnose and treat illnesses
-
Order/interpreting tests
-
Rounding and care coordination
-
Suture removal
-
Write/manage prescriptions
Compensation & Benefits:

💲 Rate: $120–$140/hr (Negotiable)

Submission Requirements:
-
NCCPA Certification – Required
-
Active New Jersey PA License – Required
-
2–3+ years’ Cardiothoracic Surgery experience – Required
-
Proficiency in EVH & First Assist – Required
-
Experience with Cerner EMR – Preferred
-
BLS & ACLS (active) – Required
