Locum Tenens Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) Richmond, Virginia
Are you an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant looking for your next locum opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated APP to join a hospital-based Neurosurgery team in Richmond, VA, providing coverage for a maternity leave assignment.
Position Highlights
- Specialty: Neurosurgery
- Setting: 100% Inpatient, Hospital-Based
- Location: Richmond, VA
- Assignment Duration: Mid-December 2026 through at least April 2027
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No Call Required
- 40 Hours Per Week
- Adult & Geriatric Patient Population
- EMR: Epic
- Travel & Lodging Covered
Responsibilities
- Provide post-procedural and inpatient neurosurgical care
- Conduct daily patient assessments and follow-up visits
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery
- Collaborate closely with an experienced Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner and physician team
- Document patient encounters accurately within Epic
Requirements
- Board Certified NP or PA
- Active Virginia License (Required at Submission)
- Active DEA Registration
- Active BLS and ACLS Certifications
- Clean background with no malpractice or licensure issues
- Prior inpatient experience preferred
