Located in Kingman, AZ – Las Vegas 105m

Outpatient Pre-Operative Clinic / Perioperative Medicine
Seeking Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
1–2 Years of Clinical Experience Preferred
Overview:
* Join an established Pre-Operative Clinic team serving Kingman and surrounding Northwest Arizona communities
* Provide comprehensive pre-surgical evaluations to ensure patients are medically optimized for anesthesia and surgery
* Perform detailed pre-operative history and physical examinations
* Assess and stratify surgical risks, including cardiac and pulmonary risk evaluations
* Order, review and interpret diagnostic testing, including laboratory studies, EKGs and imaging
* Evaluate and optimize chronic medical conditions prior to surgical procedures
* Develop and implement evidence-based pre-operative care plans
* Collaborate closely with surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Primary Care providers and specialty physicians
* Coordinate medical clearances and ensure appropriate surgical readiness
* Educate patients regarding surgical preparation, medication management and postoperative expectations
* Ensure all required documentation, consents and medical clearances are completed before surgery
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
* Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
* Practice within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment
* Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
* Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in Internal Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Urgent Care or Perioperative Medicine preferred
* Previous experience with pre-operative evaluations and surgical risk stratification preferred
