Locums | Trauma Surgery NP/PA | Richland, WA (active WA license) Why This Role

  • Two providers needed
  • Two weeks of coverage per month
  • No call responsibilities
  • Twelve-hour inpatient shifts
  • Pediatric trauma and surgical experience valued
Assignment Details Start: January 4, 2027 Duration: Ongoing Setting: Inpatient trauma surgery Coverage commitment: Approximately 7–14 shifts per month Patient volume: Approximately 20 patients per shift EMR: Epic Adult Level II trauma facility Level III pediatric trauma program January Coverage January 4–10: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM January 18–24: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM Ongoing Schedule Two weeks per month Twelve-hour shifts Day shift: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM Providers must be willing to cover either day or night openings No call Clinical Scope Inpatient trauma and general surgery coverage Assigned and unassigned patient rounding Adult and pediatric trauma consultations Support for pediatric surgical cases May participate in procedures including endoscopic appendectomy Pediatric volume is fewer than 20 cases per month Requirements Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Active Washington license Active DEA Current ACLS and ATLS certifications Trauma or general surgery experience Comfortable and clinically competent consulting on pediatric cases Able to provide two weeks of coverage per month Current CV required with submission Credentialing Estimated timeframe: Approximately 90 days Temporary privileges are not available
