Job description
We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant to join a collaborative team at a Level III Trauma Center in Marysville, California. This high-acuity center provides comprehensive care across the full spectrum of orthopedic trauma. The advanced practice provider will work closely with the on-call surgeon to support inpatient care, new consultations, outpatient clinic visits, and surgical procedures.
Schedule & Compensation
- Shift Length: 10 hours
- Schedule: Daily coverage, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Call Requirements: No after-hours call
- Compensation: $720 per shift
- Scheduling: Flexible, full-time, shift-based structure
Responsibilities
- Round with the on-call Ortho trauma surgeon and assist with ongoing patient management.
- Evaluate and manage new orthopedic trauma consultations.
- Participate in outpatient clinic visits and follow-up care.
- Assist in the operating room with orthopedic trauma procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support high-quality patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Licensed Physician Assistant.
- Current California state medical license or ability to obtain one.
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and collaborative patient care.
- Previous orthopedic surgery experience preferred.
- Candidates eager to learn and develop their orthopedic trauma skills are encouraged to apply.
