Description
Noor Locums is seeking Physician Assistants with Trauma and Acute Care Surgery experience for an ongoing opportunity in Washington.
This is a scheduled, no-call position supporting a busy Acute Care Surgery service at a 251-bed hospital. The PA will respond to traumas, may serve as the initial responder in the Emergency Department when the trauma surgeon is in the OR, admit patients to the surgical service including the ICU, assist with surgery, and participate in pre- and post-discharge care.
The schedule is generally 3–4 shifts per week, with 12-hour day shifts. The team would ideally schedule providers for at least two weekday shifts as well as weekend coverage. Clinic coverage is also part of the role two days per week, although the schedule can be adjusted when needed.
Average patient volume is approximately 18 patients per day. Providers will work alongside other APCs on some days, with diabetic education support available onsite.
Job Responsibilities
Serve as initial ED response when the trauma surgeon is in the OR
Evaluate and manage Trauma and Acute Care Surgery patients
Admit patients to the surgical service, including ICU patients
Perform inpatient rounding
Assist with surgical procedures
Provide preoperative and postoperative patient management
Prepare patients for discharge
Provide post-discharge follow-up
Conduct clinic visits two days per week
Collaborate with surgeons, APCs, nurses, and other clinical staff
Document patient care using Epic EMR
Qualifications
Trauma and Acute Care Surgery experience
BLS required
ACLS required
ATLS required
Epic experience required
Must be able to provide inpatient and outpatient services
Must be comfortable responding to trauma patients and working in the ED
Must be able to manage surgical patients, including ICU admissions
Required clinical experience/case documentation may be requested as part of credentialing
Washington licensing requirements apply; willingness to obtain licensure is available
Working Hours
Assignment duration: approximately 6 months
3–4 shifts weekly
Standard 12-hour day shifts

6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
6:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Flexible scheduling available
Ideal schedule includes at least 2 weekday shifts plus weekend coverage
Clinic hours: Wednesday/Thursday, 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Average patient volume: approximately 8 patients/day
