Advanced Practice - General Surgery position in: Astoria, OR

APP – General Surgery Opportunity Location: Astoria, Oregon • Established General Surgery team seeking an experienced Physician Associate (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive surgical care. • Opportunity to practice in a 25-bed critical access hospital serving the Northern Oregon Coast. • Collaborative environment focused on high-quality outpatient and surgical care with a strong emphasis on work-life balance. Practice Details • Monday–Friday schedule with up to 10 days of call per month. • Dedicated clinic days and OR block time. • Busy rural general surgery practice with a variety of bread-and-butter surgical cases. • Autonomy to see new patients, follow-ups, and pre-/post-operative consultations. • Work collaboratively with multiple surgeons who are supportive and enjoy teaching. • Opportunity to make a direct and positive impact on patient care in a close-knit community. Required Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of surgical PA/NP experience. • Active, unrestricted Oregon PA or NP license. • Active, unrestricted DEA certificate. • Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association. Physician Associate Requirements: • Master’s or bachelor’s degree from an ARC-PA-approved program. • Current NCCPA certification. • Active, unrestricted Oregon Physician Associate license. Nurse Practitioner Requirements: • Master’s, post-master’s, or doctoral degree from a nurse practitioner program accredited by CCNE or ACEN.
