• Seeking an experienced Surgical Physician Assistant for a full-time locum opportunity in a busy hospital-based surgical program
• Provider will support General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedic services in both the Operating Room and Surgical Floor settings
• This role includes a combination of Surgical First Assist duties, inpatient rounding, consults, post-operative care, and floor management
• Robotics experience is REQUIRED
• Opportunity for optional weekend and weeknight call coverage
• Strong multidisciplinary environment with collaborative physician and clinical support teams
• Epic EMR utilized throughout the facility

Job Responsibilities
• Perform wound closure, suturing, stapling, cauterization, suctioning, and hemostasis management
• Assist with patient positioning, tissue handling, drainage, and irrigation during surgery
• Provide inpatient surgical floor coverage including rounding, consults, discharge planning, and order management
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia staff, nursing teams, and other providers to ensure quality patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within Epic EMR
• Participate in optional weekday and weekend call coverage as needed
Qualifications
• Active New York license required at submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent surgical experience required
• Robotics surgery experience required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications required
• Recent Epic EMR experience required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills preferred
Working Hours
• 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Full-time coverage preferred beginning September 2026
• Optional weeknight call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Optional weekend call: Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
• Weekend rounding: Saturday & Sunday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
