AtlantiCare is seeking 1 Locum Advanced Practice Provider (NP with RNFA certification or PA) to support Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, NJ. This is a high-acuity, hospital-based role providing 12-hour shifts with an immediate start through October.

📍 Position Details

• Location: AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center – Atlantic City, NJ
• Setting: Hospital-Based Trauma & Acute Care Surgery
• Trauma Level: Level II
• Coverage Type: Locum Tenens
• Reason for Need: Temporary coverage while recruiting a permanent provider
• License Requirement: Active NJ license required (cannot accept candidates needing a new state license)
• EMR: Cerner

📅 Schedule

• 12-hour shifts:
  • 7 AM–7 PM
  • 7 PM–7 AM
• Coverage includes:
  • Trauma alerts
  • Inpatient care
  • OR support
  • Daily rounding
• Nights & weekends may be included depending on schedule
• No formal call, though shift coverage may vary

🛠️ Required Clinical Skills & Responsibilities

Providers must be experienced and capable in:

Trauma & Acute Care

• Trauma alerts and surgical consults
• Admitting, rounding, and assisting in OR
• Facilitating discharges
• Managing ER admissions
• Responding to:
  • House Codes
  • Rapid Response

Procedures

• Ventilation management
• Chest tube insertion
• Central line insertion
• Arterial line insertion
• PICC line insertion
• Minor laceration suturing
• BiPAP/CPAP management

👩‍⚕️ Supervision & Team Structure

• Supervising trauma surgeon on-site 24/7
• APP will not work autonomously
• Collaborative, team-based trauma environment
