An exciting Locum Travel Opportunity is available for an experienced Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant to join a high-performing cardiovascular surgery team in Syracuse, New York. This role offers a dynamic hospital-based setting with a strong surgical case mix, primarily in the operating room with some ICU and floor coverage.
Work alongside an experienced cardiac surgeon in a collaborative, team-driven environment utilizing Epic EMR. Ideal for PAs with strong first assist and vein harvest experience seeking a structured weekday schedule.

Job Responsibilities
• Perform vein harvesting and vascular tissue retrieval for bypass conduits
• Insert and manage chest tubes
• Provide perioperative patient care (pre-op & post-op)
• Assist with ICU and inpatient floor coverage as needed
• Collaborate closely with supervising cardiac surgeon and surgical team
• Optional participation in call (primary or secondary, if desired)
Qualifications
• Active New York State PA License
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac surgery operating room experience
• Strong first assist experience required
• Robotic surgery experience preferred
• Recent NPDB self-query report
Working Hours
• Monday – Friday
• 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No mandatory call
