• Locum Trauma APP needed to function as an in-house trauma hospitalist providing comprehensive inpatient and ICU care with no call responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
• Function autonomously as attending-level provider for inpatient care
• Respond to ED trauma alerts and activations
• Perform ER admissions and facilitate patient discharges
• Manage ICU and non-ICU patients
• Perform trauma-related procedures as needed
• Collaborate with on-site trauma surgeons available 24/7
• Document care using EPIC EMR
Qualifications
• Minnesota license (required at name clear)
• Minimum 1 year inpatient APP experience (trauma/ICU preferred)
• ATLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Active DEA (verbal confirmation acceptable)
• NPDB self-query within same month of submission
• No FNPs accepted
Working Hours
• Dates of coverage: May – July
• Up to full-time availability
• No call (in-house only)
Skills
• Ventilation and non-invasive vent management
• Chest tubes, central and arterial lines
• Suturing and bedside procedures
• Independent clinical decision-making
