Direct hire position for an experienced Trauma Surgery PA to join a high-acuity surgical service in Loveland, Colorado.

Position Overview

  • Role: Physician Assistant – Trauma & Acute Care Surgery

  • Employment Type: Direct hire only (no locums, no locum-to-perm)

  • Practice Setting: Trauma service with emergency general surgery and inpatient care

  • EMR: Epic

  • Trauma Level: Level I

Schedule

  • Shift Type: 12-hour overnight shifts

  • Shift Hours: 7:00pm – 7:00am

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Provide full-spectrum trauma and acute care surgical services during overnight shifts

  • Manage trauma admissions, emergency general surgery, and inpatient care

  • Perform evaluations, develop care plans, and interpret diagnostic studies

  • Assist trauma surgeons with procedures, resuscitation, and operative support

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team

  • Practice autonomously while managing multiple complex patients

  • Support quality, safety, and performance metrics for the Trauma Surgery service

  • Participate in professional development and leadership opportunities through UCHealth OAP

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of trauma surgery experience required

    • OR completion of a surgical fellowship (highly preferred)

  • No new graduates

  • Visa sponsorship not available (no J-1 or H-1B)

  • UCHealth clears names system-wide

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $136,822 – $179,379 annually (based on experience)

  • Incentive: Up to $10,000 annually through QVIP

  • Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000 for eligible candidates

  • CME: Up to $3,500 annually + 5 CME days
