Job description
Critical Access Hospital offers surgical services in orthopedics, OB/GYN, general surgery, ENT, urology, and ophthalmology. Schedule runs Monday through Friday, 7:30a-4p, with inpatient checks and anesthesia chart review. No weekends, clinic or call.
Surgical Service Lines
Hospital performs procedures across these areas:
- Orthopedics: Total joints, hand cases, sports medicine, fractures, spine; no neuro/cardiac.
- OB/GYN: C-sections, hysterectomies, minimally invasive.
- General surgery: Hernias, gallbladders, bread-and-butter cases.
- ENT: Tonsillectomies, sinus surgeries.
- Others: Urology (limited assist), ophthalmology, endoscopy.
Schedule and Volume
Work standard daytime hours, Monday-Friday 7:30a-4p. Handle variable volume daily across five ORs (one endoscopy). Expect 15-20 min turnovers, low infection rates. Perform first assist, pre-op chart checks (labs/clearances), next-day inpatient visits.
Compensation
Base starts at $160K, scales with surgical first assist experience, supporting work-life balance with weekday schedule.
