Quick Facts:
- Location: Lafayette, LA
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date/Duration: Ongoing / TBD
- Shift: Inpatient Rounding, Clinic 1 day/week, Emergency Room call
- Hours/Week: Flexible, approx. 15-20 patients post-op in clinic
- Employment Type: Full-Time Locum
- License/Certs: Active Louisiana state license preferred
- Experience: Prior APP experience in cardiovascular or thoracic surgery preferred
Pay & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00/hr (please note, actual pay to be discussed upon application)

What You’ll Do:
- Provide inpatient rounding and surgical consults for cardiovascular procedures
- Cover emergency room call as needed
- Manage post-operative patient care (15-20 patients in clinic weekly)
- Participate in approximately 90 surgeries/procedures per month including CABG, VATS, thoracotomies, lobectomies, AAA repairs, arterial bypasses, and valve replacements
- Collaborate with a team of 2 cardiovascular surgeons and 3 APPs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
What You Need:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Louisiana
- Prior experience in cardiovascular or thoracic surgery preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and surgical support skills
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
