Are you a seasoned Physician Assistant with a passion for surgery and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment? We’re looking for a skilled General Surgery PA to join an experienced surgical team for a locum assignment in Springfield, MA.
This is a nights-only, no-call position that offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide mix of surgical cases—including general, bariatric, vascular, and gynecologic procedures—in a well-supported hospital setting.
Job Responsibilities
Hospital-based, inpatient role
Full-time nights only – enjoy your days!
No call responsibilities
Work alongside a robust surgical team: 8 PAs & 10 Physicians
Wide variety of cases: general surgery, bariatrics, some vascular & gyn
EMR: Epic
Diverse patient population: adolescent, adult, and geriatric
High-volume facility with 90,000 ER visits annually
Qualifications
Active Massachusetts PA license
NCCPA certified
Minimum 1–2 years of surgical experience
Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently on night shifts
Working Hours
Weekend Requirements: Yes -nights/weekends/holidays
On Call Requirements: No Call
