Advanced Practice - Cardiovascular Surgery

Job Details:

• Full-time APP coverage needed for Surgical Specialties in Cardiology
  
• Coverage hours: 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM with on-call coverage from 4:30 PM until 7:00 AM the following morning, providing 24/7 coverage
  
• Work settings include the hospital, operating room, ICU, and clinic
  
• Responsible for covering cardiothoracic (CT) call after hours, with a low percentage of after-hours calls expected
  
• Round on inpatients either before, after, or alongside the surgeon
  
• Manage clinic patients with clinic currently scheduled one day per week, with flexibility to see patients on additional days as needed
  
• Function as first assist with endoscopic vessel harvesting (EVH) and assist with other surgical procedures as needed
  
• Work in the CVOR with the CT surgeon and perform vein harvesting during procedures
  
• Responsible for documentation of patient care
  
• Patient volume: approximately 25 patients
  
• EMR system: eClinicalWorks (eCW)
  
• Required certifications: BCLS and ACLS
  
• Board Certification required
  
• Open dates available in May (May 13 - May 18), September (September 28 - October 5), November (November 11, November 16-21, November 28 - December 3), and December (December 16-19, December 23-28)

The team works collaboratively with cardiothoracic surgeons in a modern facility equipped to handle a full range of cardiovascular surgical needs, including trauma-level care requiring 24/7 availability.
