Locums – Springfield, Oregon | NP/PA Vascular Surgery Opportunity

Clinical Role

• Start: ASAP
• Assignment approved for 6 months
• Full-time NP/PA Vascular Surgery coverage
• Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
• Gap coverage
• Approximately 15-20 patients per day
• Provider will work alongside an MD/DO and will not practice independently

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 12-hour and/or 24-hour call shifts, Monday-Friday, with 24-hour weekend call opportunities
• Day Call: 7:00 am-5:00 pm
• Night Call: 5:00 pm-7:00 am; beeper call
• 24-Hour Call: 7:00 am-7:00 am
• Call Requirement: Approximately 6 shifts per month
• Providers beginning at 7:00 am must report onsite for handoff, rounding, and other responsibilities
• Clinic Hours: 8:00 am-4:30 pm
• Current Night Coverage Needs:
  • October 3 and 4
  • November 5, 25, 26, and 27
  • December 12, 13, 16, 24, 28, and 31
• Responsibilities: Rounding, admissions, first assist in the OR, and assistance with clinic procedures
• Patient Population: Vascular/Endovascular
• Inpatient Beds: 36
• Privileges: Hospital and clinic
• First Assist Requirements: Documentation of training and competency required, including surgical case logs from the previous 24 months and documentation identifying first, second, or third assist
• NP candidates requesting First Assist privileges must provide procedure-specific training and competency documentation, including procedure type, volume during the previous 2 years, and primary operator information
• Licensing: Oregon-licensed candidates preferred for October and November coverage; non-Oregon licensed candidates may be considered for later dates
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, as applicable
• EMR: Epic
