Schedule: Weekdays, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
-
Weekday call: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
-
Weekend call: Saturday 7:00 AM–Monday 7:00 AM
-
No in-hospital rounding during weekend call
Practice Details:
-
Primarily OR-based Cardiac Surgery role
-
Extensive First Assist experience required
-
Independently perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH)
-
Radial artery harvesting experience preferred, but not required
-
Manage open-heart surgery patients after ICU discharge
-
Perform Cardiac Surgery consults
-
Postoperative CVICU and step-down management
Preferred Experience:
-
CABG, AVR, MVR, and aortic surgery
-
VATS and robotic thoracic procedures
-
Independent chest closure
-
Chest tube management and pacing wire removal
-
LVAD/RVAD patient management
-
Hemodynamic monitoring and postoperative cardiac critical care
-
Strong vein harvesting skills required
Requirements:
-
Board-Certified NP or PA
-
Maryland license preferred; licensing candidates considered

BLS required
-
Strong Cardiothoracic/Cardiac Surgery OR experience
Credentialing:
