🫀🔪 PRN Physician Assistant – Cardiothoracic Surgery
📍 Location: Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY
🏥 Setting: Inpatient / OR
⏱️ FTE: PRN
💻 EMR: Epic
📝 Summary:
Seeking a certified PA with strong CT surgery experience. Must be proficient first assisting and comfortable with OR, telemetry, and ICU duties.
🗓️ Schedule / Call:
- ⏰ 24-hr call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
- 📞 Call: 1–2 days/week & 1 weekend/month
- Weekend: Friday 7 AM – Monday 7 AM
- Includes inpatient rounds, procedures, surgery coverage
- Ongoing PRN & PTO/vacation coverage
📅 Coverage Dates:
- May 31 – June 13, 2026
- 🚨 June 6–8, 2026 (CRITICAL)
- July 20–26, 2026
- 🔄 Ongoing long-term needs
✅ Required Skills / Procedures:
- 🫀 CABG
- ❤️ AVR / MVR
- 🫁 Thoracotomy & lung resections
- 🩸 Vein harvesting
- Chest tube placement

- No APP support required; direct surgeon support
