Full-Time Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant

Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant to join our close-knit team of skilled surgeons and physician assistants. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, supportive environment where you will gain hands-on experience in both the operating room and intensive care unit. We are willing to train the right candidate, and we strongly encourage providers with a Surgery Background as well as experienced providers to apply.

Responsibilities:
- First and second assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures
- Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (training provided if needed)
- Manage pre- and post-operative patients in the ICU and step-down units
- Conduct patient rounds, write progress notes, and coordinate care
- Perform procedures as credentialed (e.g., central lines, chest tube management, arterial lines)
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other members of the care team to deliver high-quality patient care
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current NCCPA certification (or eligible)
- Arizona PA license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Strong interest in cardiothoracic surgery and critical care
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
- OR and ICU experience preferred but not required—training will be provided
Schedule & Compensation:
- Full-time position with shared call responsibilities
- Competitive compensation package, including benefits, CME allowance, and paid time off
- New Graduates/ Need Training in CT - Approx. $130k, with milestones to achieve higher earnings
- Experienced CT PA's - $150k or much more, depending on experienced
