Locum Opportunity – PA CV Surgery First Assist – Urbana, Illinois

Step into a high-impact role with a nationally recognized Trauma Level I facility in Urbana, IL. We're seeking an experienced PA to join a leading Cardiovascular Surgery team and provide critical first assist support.

Opportunity Highlights:

• Start ASAP – Ongoing assignment

• Monday–Friday, 7a–4p schedule

• Possible weeknight and weekend 24-hour call (schedule to be confirmed)

• Consistent coverage needed 3–4 weeks per month

• Responsibilities include OR call, ICU rounding, and first assisting in the OR

• Cases: 1–3 surgical per day, 10–15 inpatients

• 100% adult patient population

• Work alongside 2 experienced CV surgeons and a strong support team (5 PA/NPs, OP-RNs, CV Supervisor)

• Hospital: 489-bed, Level I Trauma Center

• EMR: Epic

Ideal Candidate:

• Certified PA with active IL license and NCCPA certification

• ACLS certification required

• Strong experience in CV surgical first assist, EVH, perioperative care

• ECMO experience preferred
