You’ll have the chance to work independently while collaborating with elite surgeons in a Level II Trauma Center. Every case is meaningful. Every shift is impactful.
What You’ll Do:
🔹 Serve as a key OR first assist in thoracic or cardiac surgeries
🔹 Perform bedside assisting and robotic lung resections / foregut procedures
🔹 Handle pre-op testing and clinic coverage with autonomy
🔹 Deliver outstanding care to an adult-only patient population
Requirements:
✅ Board Certification (NCCPA)
✅ Active Michigan license
✅ Minimum 2+ years of Thoracic OR experience
(Cardiac first-assist PAs with strong experience also considered)
✅ Robotic surgery expertise – bedside assisting, docking, lung resections (Highly Preferred)
✅ BLS & ACLS certifications
✅ Clean background
✅ Prior experience with Epic
✅ Ability to work independently in high-pressure surgical environments
