Psychiatric NP/PA Opening in MA Located in Beverly, MA Part-time / 30-hour workweek Primary practice location in Danvers, MA, with coverage in Gloucester, MA as needed Position Overview

  • Part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant opportunity in Massachusetts
  • 30-hour workweek
  • Join a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic specializing in geriatric medicine and behavioral health
  • Provide psychiatric care for adults aged 65 and older
  • Primarily based in Danvers, with occasional coverage in Gloucester
  • Work alongside experienced geriatric and psychiatric specialists
  • Ideal candidate will have experience with geriatric psychiatry, dementia, and other conditions associated with aging
  • Collaborative practice environment emphasizing compassionate, patient-centered care
Practice Highlights Outpatient geriatric behavioral health position Provide comprehensive geriatric psychiatric evaluations Diagnose and treat psychiatric and behavioral health conditions in older adults Provide psychopharmacologic treatment and medication management Manage patients with coexisting psychiatric and medical conditions, including dementia Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, illness management, and supportive care Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including: - Geriatrician - Geriatric Psychiatrist - Adult Psychiatrist - Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners - Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers (LICSWs) - Clinical support staff Work closely with social workers who conduct initial behavioral health assessments and provide ongoing individual therapy Clinical supervision provided by the Medical Director/Geriatric Psychiatrist Administrative support and oversight provided by the Administrative Director Opportunity to care for patients with complex geriatric psychiatric and cognitive conditions Emphasis on coordinated care and collaboration with patients' families and caregivers Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Master's degree in Nursing for Nurse Practitioner candidates Current Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license required Experience in psychiatric evaluation and medication management Experience with geriatric behavioral health preferred Familiarity with geriatric medicine, dementia, and other age-related syndromes preferred Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and patient education skills Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals Comfortable working with older adults experiencing psychiatric, behavioral, and cognitive conditions Commitment to compassionate, team-based patient care Compensation & Benefits Annual base salary range of $97,203.60–$132,194.40 Compensation determined by experience, education, training, certifications, and other relevant factors Part-time schedule of 30 hours per week Additional benefits and compensation details to be discussed About Beverly, MA Located on Massachusetts' North Shore, approximately 25 miles northeast of Boston Coastal community offering beaches, parks, and scenic waterfront areas Historic downtown with restaurants, shopping, and cultural attractions Convenient access to neighboring Danvers, Gloucester, and Salem Access to Boston and surrounding communities via commuter rail and major highways Variety of residential neighborhoods and recreational opportunities Attractive location offering coastal New England living with access to metropolitan amenities
