MAT Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Locum Opportunity – Massachusetts

We are seeking an NP, PA, or APRN for outpatient Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) locum coverage across multiple locations in Massachusetts.

Assignment Details

• Outpatient Medication-Assisted Treatment
• Monday–Friday coverage
• New and established adult patients
• Providers may rotate between locations based on coverage needs

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 6:00 AM–2:00 PM
• No separate after-hours call schedule was provided

Practice Setting

• Outpatient MAT / Addiction Medicine
• Approximately 8–15 patients per day
• Patient ages: 18–90
• SMART EMR
• Mild-acuity outpatient environment

Clinical Responsibilities

• MAT intake evaluations
• Medication dose adjustments
• Annual physicals
• Management of new and established patients
• Medication management may include:
  • Methadone
  • Buprenorphine
  • Long-acting injectable buprenorphine (LAIB)
  • Long-acting naltrexone

Team & Support

• Clinical support staff available
• An MD may be onsite on certain dates
• Provider may practice independently during some coverage periods

Requirements

• NP, PA, or APRN
• Relevant MAT/Addiction Medicine experience preferred
• Experience may be accepted in lieu of fellowship
• Board Certification/Eligibility preferred but not required
• BLS/other certifications preferred but not required
• Suboxone/X-waiver is not required

Ideal Candidate

An experienced NP, PA, or APRN comfortable providing outpatient MAT services, including intakes, medication management/dose adjustments, and annual physicals, who can work Monday–Friday from 6a–2p and provide coverage across multiple Massachusetts locations.
