## Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) | Lawrence, MA Merrimack Valley Community — Expanding Access to Community Behavioral Health Care ## Position Details * Full-time, permanent PMHNP position * Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) serving Lawrence, Methuen, Andover, and North Andover * Provide urgent and scheduled access to mental health and substance use treatment services * Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments and develop biopsychosocial treatment plans * Provide psychiatric medication management for youth, adults, and families * Coordinate care across ambulatory, crisis, and stabilization programs * Deliver screening and treatment for opioid and alcohol use disorders, including MOUD and MAUD * Work within a multidisciplinary behavioral health team spanning outpatient, crisis, and stabilization settings ## Practice Overview Seeking a PMHNP to join an innovative Community Behavioral Health Center designed to expand same-day access to mental health and substance use care throughout the Merrimack Valley: * Mission-driven program focused on delivering high-quality, compassionate, community-based care * Comprehensive continuum of services including ambulatory medication management, individual, family, and group therapy, Mobile Crisis Services, and Community Crisis Stabilization * Collaborative team culture with experienced psychiatrists, advanced practice providers, therapists, and behavioral health leaders * Ongoing supervision, mentorship, and professional development opportunities * Opportunities to teach NP students, medical students, psychiatry residents, and social work interns * Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice-based research projects * Exposure to innovative models at the intersection of community psychiatry and academic medicine * Leadership development opportunities within a growing behavioral health program ## Compensation & Benefits * Salary range: $149,968 to $182,811 * Full employed provider benefits package * Ongoing mentorship and academic development opportunities * Opportunity for teaching, research, and quality improvement involvement * Details provided upon inquiry ## Required Qualifications * Active Massachusetts Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license * Active PMHNP board certification * Current DEA registration * Current Massachusetts Controlled Substance registration * Minimum of 3 years of PMHNP experience strongly preferred * Exceptional new graduates with outstanding academic and clinical backgrounds will be considered * Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred ## Schedule * Operating hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–8:00 PM * Saturday–Sunday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM * Must be available to provide coverage until 8:00 PM two days per week * May provide daytime and occasional weekend coverage for Community Crisis Stabilization services ## About the Community – Lawrence, Massachusetts * Diverse and vibrant Merrimack Valley community located approximately 30 miles north of Boston * Convenient access to Boston, New Hampshire, and the Massachusetts coastline * Rich cultural heritage with a growing arts, dining, and community scene * Strong educational institutions and family-friendly neighborhoods throughout the surrounding area * Access to outdoor recreation, parks, rivers, hiking trails, and seasonal New England activities * Excellent location for professionals seeking both urban amenities and suburban quality of life * Easy access to major highways, public transportation, and regional airports
