A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a Spanish-speaking, licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join one of their facilities in the Manhattan on a Full-time basis.

About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 35 per week
• Patient Volume: 50 to 70 patients at the facility
• EMR: SigmaCare

Responsibilities:

The Bilingual Nurse Practitioner (NP) will:

• Examine, diagnose, treat and evaluate clients and their families who are referred for psychiatric services
• Deliver a written comprehensive and diagnostic evaluation on all clients referred for psychiatric services
• Provide continuing psychiatric care of patients and makes appropriate dispositional recommendations
• Monitor the medical condition of patients by providing treatment and/or referrals, as appropriate
• Prescribe and manage the medication profile of each client according to generally accepted psychiatric standards
• Prepare and maintain psychiatric records and reports, complete all required clinical & billing documentation, and respond to all requests for treatment information in a timely manner
• Conduct physical examinations; observing behaviors, reviewing medical history and related documents; selecting, administering, and interpreting psychological tests; ordering laboratory tests and evaluating results

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience working with Dually Diagnosed Substance Abuse & Psychiatric patients
• Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree
• Current NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
