A healthcare clinic in New York is actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their growing staff. In this role, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be responsible for providing Psychiatric evaluation, monitoring, and psychopharmacology services to individuals within the clinic setting.

Responsibilities

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) will:

  • Work collaboratively with the Clinic Manager and Clinic staff in a joint endeavor to satisfactorily achieve the goals of the clinic
  • Act in the capacity of a professional practitioner of the healing arts to provide diagnostic, palliative, preventative or rehabilitation/habilitation services to persons admitted to the program, produces billable units of service
  • Electronically document in each person's confidential electronic clinical record, all diagnostic assessment reports, individual plans of treatment and treatment notes regarding service being recommended and/or delivered
  • Review, update, and complete treatment plans every three months electronically
  • Consult with each person receiving services and/or collaterals regarding treatment outcomes and course of treatment, at least semiannually
  • Work in conjunction with the Clinic Psychiatrist and will provide coverage for the Clinic Psychiatrist when necessary
  • Promote services in accordance with generally acceptable community standards of professional practice and in conformance to the requirements of all applicable statutes and regulations

Qualifications

  • Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in New York State
  • 1 year of post-degree experience in a human services setting
  • Accepted by Medicaid and Medicare for billing
