Advanced Practice - Pediatric position in: Stillwater, OK

NP – Pediatrics Opportunity Location: Stillwater, OK • Full-time position – 40 hours/week in a Pediatrics Clinic • Provide primary pediatric healthcare in collaboration with physicians • Manage selected cases according to established protocols • Maintain patient histories, medical reports, and other records • Develop treatment plans and order X-rays and other diagnostic procedures • Prescribe medications according to established protocols • Refer patients requiring acute or chronic care • Provide patient education and counseling • Conduct health assessments using diagnostic tools and laboratory testing Qualifications • Current Oklahoma licensure through the Oklahoma State Board of Licensure and Supervision • Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner program • Nationally certified as a Nurse Practitioner • Clinic or ambulatory care experience preferred • Practice under the supervision of an active Staff Physician • Able to perform the physical and mental requirements of the position • Maintain malpractice coverage as defined by the Board of Trustees • Current CPR certification or completion within 30 days of hire Physical Requirements • Adequate hearing, with correction if needed • Adequate vision, with glasses or contacts if needed, to evaluate patients, prepare reports, and read written materials • Able to distinguish colors and minute details • Able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English • Able to frequently lift at least 60 lbs. and perform reaching, pulling, pushing, bending, stooping, and kneeling • Able to hear, see, and feel accurately to assess, monitor, and provide patient care • Possess fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for administering medications and handling medical instruments • Able to work in a latex-burdened environment
