We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide Pediatric Surgery coverage in a high-acuity, inpatient setting. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a Level 1 pediatric and trauma facility alongside a supportive surgical team.
Practice Details
- Setting: Inpatient only (no outpatient responsibilities)
- Patient Volume: 15–20 patients per shift
- Patient Population: Pediatrics only (up to age 16–17)
- EMR System: Epic
- Support Staff: 3 APPs + additional team support We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide Pediatric Surgery coverage in a high-acuity, inpatient setting. Job Responsibilities
Respond to surgical consults and manage post-operative patients
Participate in call coverage and urgent patient care needs
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a high-acuity setting
Qualifications
Board Certified NP or PA
DEA required
Certifications required:
BLS
ACLS
ATLS
PALS/APLS
Working Hours
7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (in-house)
7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (beeper call, not onsite)
Flexible Coverage:
Full-time preferred
Open to 3–4 shifts per week
Call Requirements:
Weeknight and 24-hour weekend beeper call
Must be within 10 minutes of the hospital while on call
