• Seeking an experienced Physician Assistant for a Pediatric Cardiac ICU locum assignment from July 20, 2026 – January 16, 2027.
• Join a 16-bed Pediatric Cardiac Care Center caring for critically ill congenital heart disease patients.
• APPs function as primary providers in a high-acuity, multidisciplinary critical care environment.
• Ideal candidates are adaptable, collaborative, and experienced in managing complex congenital cardiac patients.

Job Responsibilities
• Manage pre- and post-operative congenital cardiac surgery patients
• Care for patients with single ventricle physiology, arrhythmias, and complex congenital heart disease
• Manage vasopressor therapies, pacemakers, ECMO (VA/VV), and CRRT patients
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and treatment planning 🤝
• Provide care for occasional adult congenital heart disease patients and PICU overflow patients
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other specialists
Qualifications
• Active New York State Physician Assistant License required
• NCCPA Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience required
• Strong knowledge of complex congenital cardiac anatomy and physiology required
• BLS Certification (AHA) required
• PALS Certification required
• Pediatric Acute Care Physician Assistant Certification preferred
Working Hours
• Rotating 13-hour shifts
• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Approximately 50% Days / 50% Nights
• Weekends, holidays, call, and callback coverage as required
