ATC Locums is seeking an experienced Surgical PA to support inpatient rounding, elective and emergent procedures, clinic coverage, and call in Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a PA who enjoys a hands-on surgical role and wants meaningful responsibility within a collaborative surgical team.

Assignment Highlights
- Setting: Acute hospital
- Coverage Dates: August 22–27 and August 31–September 14
- Ongoing: Additional coverage may be available
- Schedule: Weekdays, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM; night call 4:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Weekend Call: 24-hour call, 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
- Clinical Focus: Cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery
- EMR: Meditech and eCW
- Support: Office supervisor and surgical team
Surgical Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have 1+ year of surgical experience and be comfortable assisting with:
- CABG and open-heart procedures
- Thoracic and vascular surgery
- Hospital rounding and inpatient management
- Elective and emergent surgical cases
- Clinic support and patient follow-up
- Surgical call coverage
Preferred procedural experience includes chest tube removal, pulmonary artery catheter removal, epicardial wire removal, intra-aortic balloon pump removal, and vein/artery harvesting.
Requirements
- NCCPA certification
- Active Ohio PA license
- ACLS and DEA
- Minimum 1 year of surgical experience
- Strong cardiac/open-heart surgical experience preferred
