Job Responsibilities

• Serve as primary OR first assist for cardiac surgery cases
• Perform endoscopic and open vein harvest
• Insert chest tubes and manage invasive lines
• Assist with conduit retrieval for bypass procedures
• Provide perioperative ICU and floor management
• Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in quality and surgical outcome initiatives

Qualifications

• NCCPA Certified Physician Assistant
• Active or eligible for New York State licensure
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proven cardiac surgery OR first assist experience
• Vein harvest proficiency required
• Robotic cardiac experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and team-oriented mindset
